ATPL(A) AIRLINE TRANSPORT PILOT LICENSE
Become an Airline Pilot!
The modular ATPL(A) course allows the holder to operate airplanes for commercial purposes and pave their way towards the airline cockpit, it is the highest level of aircraft pilot certificate. The ATPL(A) Training is therefore an integral part of our educational offerings.
The following prerequisites are necessary to start the ATPL training course:

At least 17 years of age to begin the training (with age of 21 license qualification)

Class 1 Medical Certificate

Declaration of pending criminal proceedings (Sec. 24 para. 3 no.3 and 4 Air Traffic Licensing Order)

Background check (Sec. 7 para. 1 no. 4 Aviation Security Act (LuftSiG) and sec. 4 para. 1 Aviation Security Act) and a Police Clearance Certificate.

Extract of German Federal Bureau of Motor Vehicles and Drivers (Sec.30 para. 8 of Road Traffic Act (StVG)).

Evidence of sufficient knowledge in English, Mathematics and Physics
The ATPL(A) in Detail:
The theory training consists of a combination of distance learning and theory classes at the flight school. In principle, the training begins with distance learning, where you will receive scripts on each subject that is asked during the theoretical examination at the Federal Aviation Office (LBA) as Multiple-Choice questions.
In the theoretical part of the training, you will learn all necessary theoretical knowledge for the ATPL(A).

After completing the distance learning and 66 hours of theory, you will start taking pre-tests at the flight school. Your test results will give us an overview of your current performance level and as a responsible flight school if necessary, individual topics with intensive seminars will be provided to the student.
Within 18 months of registration at the LBA for ATPL(A) course, you must complete the distance learning, 66 hours of theory classes, and the pre-tests on all 14 subjects in order obtain a clearance certificate for exams at the LBA and pass the first exam session at the LBA.
If you come to us without any previous knowledge, you should plan the entire ATPL(A) training course for about 2 years. If you are planning to take a part-time training, then you should plan the entire ATPL(A) training program for about 3 years.
